Monuments & Memorials services

Sculpture is a vehicle of personal interaction. When creating a monument or memorial there are considerations to be taken into account. What will the work look like, what will it say, and how will the work be perceived not only when finished but in the distant future? Moving forward in the creative process, conveying the meaning and message of inspiration into an emotional experience for the viewer needs to be considered. Our monument and memorial services include comprehensive consultations to understand your vision, detailed planning and design, and expert artistry to ensure the final piece is a fitting and enduring tribute.

Creating Maquettes

A series of maquettes are created for every monument and memorial. A maquette is a fine art term that refers to a small mock-up of a fully realized three-dimensional sculpture. The small model may be made from paper, clay, wax, or other material in order to provide a visualization of what the actual sculpture would look like when fabricated or built. The client participates in this process working to create a piece with the correct expression, figures, gestures, and creativity. Keeping a loose and creative approach is key, until the process of addition and subtraction guides the work to where it belongs.

Installation & Maintenance

We understand the importance of preserving the lasting beauty and appreciation of fine art pieces. Our professional installation ensures that each monument and memorial is securely placed and showcased to its best advantage. To maintain these works of art, our comprehensive restoration process is designed to protect and rejuvenate them for years to come.

We recommend performing maintenance procedures on a yearly basis, ideally twice a year—once in early spring and again in autumn before deep freezing. However, an annual maintenance program is sufficient for most pieces, ensuring they remain in pristine condition and continue to inspire and honor those they commemorate.
